JeffJ
Just got this mold and looking for ideas on how to rig a tube or mojo style wieght in it before I pour for the line to go thru. Kind of like a pro rigged osprey. Any ideas???
Ed Brabant
If you know a machinists you can have him or her mill a slot with a 1/4 ball end mill on both sides. Then have pins made to hold the weight. Dels works great. I have ine of his and I use top brass tackle worm weight 3/16 ounce and when the bait cures I put a drop or two in the hole that the line comes out of. I can get the nozzle of the glue above the weight in the body. That is where the glue goes. That holds the weight in rather well. Dels inserts have undercuts on it so you won't need any glue. JeffJ
Yes this is the 5" open pour mold by Bob. It pours great but I want to modify it some how for my own purposes. Thanks to Ed, I have some idea now how to do it. But going to take some work to get it where I want it. Going to be taking the bait to a buddies pool to test out some weights and see how it swims. I will let you guys know.
Richard Prager
Why don't you just give him a call? He makes the open pours that are already done the way you want it. They are not on his site. There is also a 5 and 7 inch up on ebay like that right now that he made.
