Bassgrabber
Hi everyone, I received my order from MF and I did a test run of some 6" ST worms with the Motor Oil. A customer requested some motor oil worms with blue flake and I was amazed at the effect the blue flake had on the bait. The worm almost looks aqua marine but changes tones and transitions under different light. Not the typical motor oil color that I am used to. Has anyone else used this and did you experience the same thing? I used 10 drops in 2 oz of plastic. Any advice welcomed. Thanks in advance, Tom
bass100
I agree the color is great. Alot of my customers didn't believe it was motor oil but after a couple of years it is now one of my best selling colors.
GB GONE
Every flake color will affect the motor oil from M-F and change its look. Red and black seem to have the least effect. Only way I have been able to keep a decent changeable color and have the bait stay motor oil looking is to reduce the flake amount and to use smaller flake. This color relies on light so much that any adjustment to the light going through by flake will change the color. Jim
Bassgrabber
I just finished another run and tweaked the formula and the results were more than I hoped for. I did 14 drops of MF motor oil to 4 oz of 502 and an 1/8 tsp of .08 red flake and the baits came out great. Still have the multi color transitions and tone changes. You were right ghost, the red accented the color and gave it another dimension. Thanks for the tip. Think I might be on to something.. After my testing this Saturday I'll know for sure.
