Fish_N_Fool
Hi, I need to know if any of you have any expertise in making 2 color laminates baits in a pie type injection mold. It feeds plastic from the top and bottom at the same time to get the 2 color baits. But we can't seem to get a good laminate as the plastic is mixing making a swirl bait rather then a top-bottom laminate. Some the plastic mixes almost completely to make a color in-between the 2 starting colors. The molds pour a perfect single color bait. I know it is possible to get good lamitates out of an injection mold. I just need o figure out how. We have tried a few differant thing so far with no luck. If you have any insight on how to fix this please let me know. __________________________________________________________________________________ Inventor of the Worlds strongest fishing knot, the Fish-N-Fool Knot winner of Knot Wars. I dont ever think a laminate woudl work in a pie mold due to the design, it could if and only if you shot from the bottom and the top simultaneously. for a laminated mold you need to have 2 ports pretty much to shoot from both sides with 2 injectors. this is accmoplished in a few ways but can not be done in a pie mold unless you shoot the other color from the bottom. bear21211
I do not know what a pie mold looks like but if you would be willing to post a picture of it I can let you know if our 2 color injectors would work on them or not. We can do laminate worms ,brush bugs, beavers, stiks and others.
