Bassking24
Does anyone know who made the FLW baits that were sold at Wal-mart stores? They made a 12" worm, I measured it and it's really 11", but anyway, was wondering if anybody knows if there are any floating around out there, or more importantly, who actually manufactured them? I heard that Mann's Bait Company made them, but don't know that as fact. I tried contacting them, but haven't heard back yet. I also heard Renegade (???) made these baits. Thought I'd check here to see if anyone had any insight...............Thanks.

Fatman
I've also heard Renegade but no proof of it. Check a bag and see where they list them and then check that Manu on the web. Fatman
Bassking24
Thanks for the reply's. I don't have a bag to look at, but I did look at a "Renegade" bag at Walmart, and they are/were made by Luck "E" Strike. So, maybe I'll contact them and see???? Thanks...... Long Lake Lures
Speaking of Renegade/Luck-e-Strike worms that Walmart sells, does anyone know what scent they use in those 6" curltail worms? I use these as trailers on Chatterbaits and the Pike lov'em. Trying to figure out how much the scent accounts for getting the strikes. Thanks, Dave
MuskyGary
Scent does't hurt, but pike are sight feeders. It's the movement that gets them!

MTfishingrods
If Pike are sight feeders explain the number of Pike caught every year on dead smelt under a non moving bobber. I am not saying that sight wont trigger a bite but smell has to have something to do with it also. Especially with pike. Want proof. Soak your tackle in gasoline and see how well you do. Then try clean tackle with fish or garlic scent. Accidental test I did while icefishing one year when gas cap was loose on ice auger. You will only do it once.
