tauruck
Has anyone figured a way to mimmic the scents used in the Berkley Gulp range or what is the best commercially available product. I'm into Saltwater and the current trend in South Africa is anything Gulp is the stuff to have. I'm starting to pour my own plastics and I really want to buy the best. I'm here to listen and learn. Thanks guys.
longhorn
I haven't personally tried to but Berkley sells both Powerbait and Gulp alive scents in liquid form. I'm guessing these would be oil of some kind and might be compatible for mixing with plastic like other scents. Just a thought.
Zbass
I beleive the Gulp scent luquid is water based and should not be added to hot plastic. Soaking your baits in it is a different story.
Long Lake Lures
Just a thought- you could try to extract the organic components by adding some oil to the aqueous solution and shaking, then separate after allowing the layers to settle. I have never tried it but you never know. Good luck! Dave
gone2long
Is it possible to soak salt in berkley's scent then dry it out and add to your plastic when dry?, would act like a slow release. But as stated you do not want to mix anything water based in plastic. Edited August 22, 2009 by mrbilky
