Acuna
HI all, I want to give pouring soft plastics a try. Here is the deal, my current house does not have a garage and the only real possible place to pour would either be outside under the carport (when the weather is nice) or in the kitchen. If I am doing small batches and heating the plastic in the microwave do you think the kitchen will be a safe place to pour (assuming the wife okays it)? My main concern is the fumes issue.... What do you think?
Artificial All The Way
It only took me one time with the fumes, hot dripping plastics, color staining counters and glitter that seems to jump around on everything to figure out I

Richard Prager
HI all, I want to give pouring soft plastics a try. My main concern is the fumes issue.... What do you think? DO NOT use the household microwave! I wouldn't even bother with the kitchen. You would have to set up and break down every time you pour. Make yourself a setup outside and create something that will block any wind. If you do pour inside, the fumes will get saturated in any and all upolstered funiture. Funny about that glitter. I pour in the garage which nobody goes into but me. Yet everyone in the household always has glitter on them!
rhahn427
burn the plastic 1 time and you WILL be on the streets .......... carport is the deal .......
alsworms
inside - bad, carport - good. I'm surprised that some of you guys actually get away with pouring in the kitchen. My wife is completely cool, but would have NEVER allowed that! Not only are you dealing with the chance of setting the place on fire, you've got fumes, terrible odors of garlic, crawfish, etc., and we all eat in the kitchen. I couldn't imagine eating in the same place that I poured! Just my
Gloomisman
I would go with the carport also. Those fumes stink bad. I would also use a cheap microwave or burner and not the house one.
Richard Prager
I should have poured in the house when I first started pouring. My first wife would have divorced me alot sooner!
wildtail97
152nd that is horrible! But funny! I agree don't use the kitchen unless you don't make a mess, and trust me, you are going to make a mess!
nova
If you are trying to get a divorce then fill your boots. If you aren't going that route, then give your head a shake and get those thoughts right out of your head. When I first started, I poured one time in the basement and darn near spent the night on the couch. It made my wife into a crazy person. www.novalures.com

longhorn
I would not pour in the house. Use the carport....you're in Austin so you really have no winter:) My son lives in Austin and I fish Ladybird and Lake Austin when I visit. Good Luck. Pitbull Baits
If you do do it under the range hood if its vented out side. I did and wasn't that bad with it pulling the smoke out.
