Gloomisman
I searched this and couldnt come up with anything. Could be the way I searched it. Anyway I need to copy some lead dive weights that are basically square with two slits in the middle. What material would be best to do this with? Will Plaster hold up to about 20 of these being made? Thanks
Vodkaman
I've never tried PoP, but in theory, their is a temperature limit, were the plaster starts to revert back to its original form. I suspect it would start to crumble at the surface after a few pours. I don't know this for sure though. I use polyester resin/filler for lead. seems to work fine, but I have not done hundreds of casts, but it seems to be holding OK. Also I believe there are temperature friendly RTV's out there too. I remember Husky mentioned one yesterday. Dave

Vodkaman
As was mentioned in another thread yesterday, bondo is a trade name and sell many products. The package MUST read polyester resin and the filler MUST read polyester based filler. turkeylegs1246
Geez, do it right and buy a mold! They are not very expensive! Try this! Block Weight Molds (Without Handle)# You'll spend more fooling with something else and might hurt yourself!
