Jeep
Hi guys, I am thinking of the best way to keep a wireframe with weight attached in place in a 2-part silicone mold? Not sure what would be best..thinking of screws..or magnets? Any ideas? Thnx! Jeep

It's a quick fix but it works well. If you're building a mold, you can mold in locator "pins" for the harness. Jeep
Thnx husky! That is what I have done before; works great for single piece lures. But I want to use it on a swimbaits-head. And the weight already attached to the wireframe; so it is kinda important that the weight is dead center. Some kind of lock would be cool; maybe a simple bold will do... Vodkaman
I have thought about this problem before. My solution (untested) was to introduce a third point of contact by extending the harness with the wire reaching the edge of the cavity. This is snipped and ground down later. It is an extra process, so not ideal. Dave

How about if you cast them standing up vertical instead of lying on their side, would this help to center the weight ??????????? OR am I over-simplifying it.pete

MuskyGary
How about adding the weight to the "through wire" like pinch on sinkers to a line?
