gunnie3035
The old school flat rubber is hard to come by. I try to pick it up on Ebay when I run across it for a decent price. Most of the time brown/black demand a premium price. But I ordered some bait samples out of China last year. In the samples were some jigs with the old type fine flat rubber skirts. So someone is still producing it from across the pond. Perhaps one of the importers [Predator/Vandalizer] could get some from a supplier. Jig Man
We had 20# of it and it all stuck together and was completely useless. We tried all kinds of way to get it to seperate but nothing worked. It is now making methane.

weighinalimit
I got some of the "tarantula" rubber, not at all like the old flat rubber....strands are twice as wide, thin and not good for much but BIG fat hairy "mop jigs" JMHO tho, some guys might like it. dtrs5kprs
Tarantula rubber was good for 2 main things: 1) Mixing with regular flat rubber in 2 color skirts to make the wide color spring out. 2) Short arm spinnerbaits (thus the Tarantula name, from the old Bass Buster spinnerbaits). Still good for both, although flat rubber is obviously gone.
