BBK
Seems when I pour stick baits they always turn out sticky until I roll in salt or dunk in some water. Is this normal? I just put them in a ziplock bag with 2 tsp of salt and shake, seems to help.
Bass-Boys
No its not normal, do you pour other baits that are not sticky ?? usually its because the plastic was not stired or shaken enough, it settles and 100 % of the settlings must be mixed up. BBK
Sometimes the beavers I pour are sticky, but after a day or so the stickiness is gone. I think its the crappy plastisol I'm using. I've tried stirring it, and I've tried shaking it, so I know I'm getting it mixed up well. Richard Prager
Some plastisols will be tacky after demolding. They need to "set up" for a good 24 hours. If they are still tacky, then you might not have mixed well enough prior to pouring and getting mostly softener.

Sure sounds like your not getting the hard pack from settling on the bottom, I had the same problem when I started.
saint308
What brand plastic are you using? Saint.
BBK
Some crappy netcraft plastic I got from a friend. I ordered some calhoun from bears yesterday, I'll just use the rest of the netcraft for filler.
saint308
Sorry, no experience with netcraft. Wish I could have helped you. Saint.
TTDuckman
Netcraft currently sells Lure Craft plastic. I would say it is one of three issues and I don't believe that any of them are probably the plastic. 1. Not mixed in jug well enough 2. Not heated to a proper temperature 3. Too much or not well mixed softener All of these are easily corrected. When I have had problems it was always my error rather than the plastic. BBK
On netcraft's site it says they have both netcraft, and lure craft plastisol.

Tim BBK exactly what tim and others have said, its very rarely the plastic. 99.99% of the time for sticky baits its how its processed ie cooked mixed and or the added ingrediants like scents and stuff.
