All forum data will be preserved, including classifieds and how-to/tutorials. Resource/links section will be re-populated shortly after the initial upgrade. New Gallery will be implemented to include rich media support (video) **. Advertising section was quietly updated yesterday along with new ad features coming soon, and will not be affected at this time. The TU Gear Shop will remain and be ported over shortly after the upgrade goes live. Expect an exciting new revamp to the PM system along with other new functionality site-wide to be announced after the reveal. ** Developers are currently working on preserving/importing the existing gallery photos into the new gallery (which is why the donation bar is still active, they like $ for tricky work ) As a fallback, If existing photo import is not possible, we will archive the existing gallery, keeping it online for prosperity, and start fresh with the new gallery. This major improvement will take TU temporarily offline. We'll do the upgrade overnight to lessen the impact for most users. Given that this upgrade is essentially an entire site overhaul I cannot guarantee an exact time frame. it could take a couple hours or or an entire day. (wheres the "crossing fingers" emoticon? ) I want to thank those of you who regularly subscribe and provide support to the site and those who have recently donated for this unanticipated necessity. Those who graciously donated can be found HERE. You have helped TU make lemonade from the lemons we were handed. Thank you again, I think that covers all existing TU sections. 68KingFisher Posted November 3, 2009 Report Share Posted November 3, 2009 The site is looking good so far, but I would like to bring to your attention that the pages are not resizing to fit my screen resolution of 1024 X 768....So some of the pages run off the right side of my screen and I have to scroll left and right to read the page, as well as some of the advertising banners are seem to be over or under other items....I'm sure its an easy fix, but I wanted you to be aware of the problem if you weren't already. Yeah, optimizing for screens are tough. I am optimizing for 1024x768 and above. We had a "fixed" size on the last version but got alot of complaints from those with bigger monitors about the site being "too small/narrow". I'm learning and improving the skin daily so you should already see some change. Feel free to PM me with irregularities when you see them.
