clemmy
Heya, I just got back from the local Wally World, and I noticed that they have a soft spatula in the kitchen utensil aisle that is designed for high heat of 750 degrees...It's got a wooden handle and the rubber part is actually silicone, the're asking like 3.90 for it. I'm still researching before I dive into making soft baits, but thought some of you might find it useful for salvaging the last little bit out of your pyrex cup, getting the salt back off the bottom of your lee pot, cleaning the spill off one side of a two piece mold when laminating, etc. etc. Incidentally, they just put a bunch of their fishing stuff on clearance, I saw kiamani senkos, strike king 3x plastics, storm n frenzy cranks and plano/shimano stowaways on clearance, but this might be local to here/florida/the south, etc. :!:

redg8r
True, Geeting the half-cooled plastic off the glass & back into the mix pains me sometimes, A spatula seems like the perfect tool. One thing to avoid using in your plastic is a wooden utensil, wood spoon, stir sticks, bamboo etc. when the wood gets hot it starts releasing bubbles into the plastic . ~boo
Markell
red-g8r, You are definately on top of things. I was just about to ask why I have bubbles in my plastic and I am using a wooden spoon to stir it. What should I be using?
BassnG3
I started using wood until I read about it giving off air so I switched to an old screwdriver. I had one with a broke tip and the handle doesn't get warm. BassnG3
