clemmy
http://www.bestdealsontv.com/catalog/2901.html I don't know that it would have the torque to deal with plastic in a lee pot...but it'd be cool if it worked... Anybody ever tried it?
MarshManiaC
Man I'd LOVE it if it worked....just won't take the plunge right now
clemmy
I found another one online, different name but same exact thing, and in it's description it said that the motor was the same used in cordless screwdrivers, which don't have a ton of torque, but if it uses that motor it'd have to be geared down in rpm, which should increase the torque a little, but it'd be hard on batteries, i'd use rechargable I guess.. SeminoleFan
I think that motor would work good for creating a small drying wheel, possibly for flies and/or hard baits. Plus it could be portable. Rick
Tristan
Man, that looks like a good idea! If I ever invest in a Lee pot, that'll be the first accessory to get...
dtrs5kprs
Should have plenty of torque, as the plastic should be pretty thin if you have it at a good working/pouring temp. Probably a huge mess to use on any plastic that had not completely melted or had started to cool. Looks like it might be a little big for a hot pot. clemmy
Hey, I'm not saying it'd work, I just happened accross it an came up with the idea... As for size, it says it fits from 6" -8 1/2" pot...does anyone have the Lee's plastic pot they could measure the top? There's also the larger size plastic pot now... By the way, anybody yet look at where the cheapest place is to buy the Lees pots?
dtrs5kprs
Have several of both pots...inside diameter on the small one is about 3", about 4" on the big one.
