One more question I dont understand the reputation rating on your profile, some people rate 10 good and some rate 0 neutral. Good questions, Status updates will function much like status updates on social networking sites like facebook and myspace. Theres nothing required of you, it's just TU asking you what your doin today. I know it sounds useless, but it will be useful here once its fully setup. I'll elaborate further when it is. The reputation system was something we disabled a few years back because the system was abused. The current rep you may see on some users profiles are remnants left from the earlier system. We will likely wipe old rep and start fresh. The new rep system can now be used as a way for members to thank each other for the help received throughout the site. Does the new folder in Messenger the same as new PM's received? Does the my conversations folder the same as PM's sent? If the above is correct that is fine. Another question about the two new folders is this. Why are the dates they came in from newest to oldest not in order? It looks like I have Oct 30th, then Oct. 20th then Sept. 3rd, then Oct. 25th etc???????????I'm confused. Final questions in Messenger. What does Deleted Member and cadman(and 1 other) mean in the ""To" column? No, "new" == "unread with no replies" "my conversations" == "unread or read with replies" Another question about the two new folders is this. diemai Posted November 4, 2009 Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 Hope , that I am not hijacking this thread , but I've also got a question coming up as I just browsed through my old posts containing thumbnail pictures before . I had always utilized these thumbnails on the old site as I had never found out how to post pictures in a bigger size , ........now I've found these thumbnails enlarged to 98% of their original size(after opening up the small thumbnails on the old site)650 X 488 pixels , so they should be now 637 X 478 original size on the new site . Does that mean , that , if posting pictures on the new site forums , I must pre-size them to 637 X 478 or slightly smaller on my PC file to attach them to my posts in here ? Here's a direct link: http://www.tackleund...odule=messaging Permissions are set for registered users, I've received recent PM's from registered users. I suspect it might be a quota issue. I'd change this for you if I could, here's how 2 do it: Click here to pull up your settings: http://www.tackleund...e&module=usercp (My Settings >> General Settings >> Personal Messenger Options) Make sure "Disable my personal messenger" is UN-checked.... save changes. New attachments will be resized upon submission, so you shouldnt worry about resizing manually unless they are excessively huge. Even before the conversion theres an option to upload a "profile pic" in your usercp. it is separate from your avatar pic. The old version didnt make much use of the profile pic, while this version uses it almost everywhere except in forum topics. If you upload a profile pic, the default shadow figure will be replaced, heres a link. My settings >> change photo: http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=members&area=photo BTW, if that confuses too many people, (like it did you & I) I'll look into forcing avatars sitewide.
