cadman
Well I think I have some excellent news for some of you if not all of you . I have not been ordering from Stamina in awhile due to their poor inventory of stock and their overall poor customer service. This is not a bashing post so please keep all your personal grievances to yourself we've all been there. Anyway I decided to call them today for some hooks I was interested in purchasing to see if they had them in stock and possibly giving them another chance.....Well low and behold I spoke to a gal there(don't know who she was in the corporate ladder) and she told me that Stamina (Lurepartsonline.com) has been sold or is currently being acquired by another person or company. As I spoke to her she told me that there are going to be a lot of changes, and that they are going to try to get back some of the customer base they lost (I was one of them). She also mentioned that they are now operating out of Springfield,IL and that they will keep a better inventory of products in stock. Finally she said to me that till the end of November they are going to have free shipping on their products( However please verify this before you order), I am telling you what I was told, I don't want anyone to blame me later. In closing I spoke with this gal for at least 15 minutes about all the good and bad in the past, and I was left reassured that things are going to be better. So I myself am willing to give the new management another shot and see how it goes. Hope those of you who have had bad experience with them in the past give the new owner the benefit of the doubt..............Just some food for thought. cadman
HHHHUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM - Does that include to Australia? pete Pete, You make me laugh. I can't answer your question. I didn't ask about all of our members outside of the U.S. But you are more than welcome to give them a call, and post here for all of our own curiosities. Jamie, I have a good feeling about this, and I'm hopeful and optimistic as well. Edited November 11, 2009 by cadman
BobP
It will be interesting to see how things shake out with Stamina. What I liked about them was the wide array of otherwise hard to find items (like hooks) they stocked. Yeah, they took too darned long to get orders to you but it was stuff you couldn't find anywhere else. I'm hoping the New Stamina will differentiate itself from their competitors like Janns Netcraft by continuing that tradition while improving customer service. Here's to their success! cadman
Bob P, I agree with you. The best thing I've always liked about Stamina, was that if I wanted a couple of sample hooks that they sold, they would mail me the samples no charge. I've yet to see other tackle companies do that. Yes you have to sponsor them, but with all the money I've spent at other places Stamina and Shorty's Hook Sales are the only ones that will do that for me. With me constantly buying molds and trying to see if certain hooks fit in certain molds that is a big plus for me. I hope they continue that tradition. cadman
Well, just an update. I ordered some hook samples and they came to me with-in 3 days, like was promised. No BS, sad stories or excuses. Boy was I a happy camper. Also I'm sure many of you got the new post card in the mail of Stamina's new ownership, and their 10% discount by Dec 31st. A friend of mine ordered some items most of the stuff was in stock, and they explained that the other items would be in , in several days. They are still replenishing their stock from the last owner. So far so good, it looks like they are trying to make every effort to gain customer confidence back..............We'll see.

Ganns
I think you will find the new owners to be very responsive to the customer... I am pretty sure the new owners are Cast Industries... They are who I use to do my casting and painting for my heads, they have proven to be very easy to work with, have a very good turn around time and stand behind their work 100%, at least in my experience... basskat
I placed an order with Stamina last week. One of the blades ordered was out of stick and they called to see if a substitute was wanted or if it needed to be back ordered. Received the order in five days. Big improvement! smalljaw
They did improve big time, I had to order to use the 10% off card but I'm really dissapointed on the new prices, every supplier I ever used has gone up but not as much as stamina, they're going to have to either have a huge sale or make that 10% off with every order permanent for me to use them again. New River Rat
cadman, (and others) Not a bash on Stamina either, but continuously receiving shipments with (out of stock) on invoice items is a royal P.I.A. Obviously this was their M.O. I saw where they had become www.lurepartsonline.com, and placed an order for spinnerbait components. On a Sunday. Monday night I received a call from a gent working for them that told me of the 10 nickle blades of #2 willow I had ordered, they only had 7 in stock. What should they do? I had also ordered some # 3 nickle blades, he suggested adding 3 of these to make the order. This is not something that I had experienced with Stamina. Also, I had a four day turnaround! Let's wish them the best! BTW, my wife didn't like receiving boxes that had the STAMINA return address. Lure--Prof
I've also already done business with them and they were prompt and courteous! They'll get more of my business! Dean
