Finally tried Devcon.

Recommended Posts

I like the Devcon much better than the Zap-a-Gap. The mixing is not a problem and it dries crystal clear. I overestimated how much I needed and when I was done with my weekguards I decided to experiment with a Devcon top coat on one of my jigs. Very impressive. Does any one use Devcon as a top coat on wire baits? I'm guessing a drying wheel would be needed. It may be more trouble than it's worth but it sure does make for a deep finish. FYI... The jig head I experimented with was one of my bad paint jobs. I used black/blue flake powder paint and the finish was very rough. Devcon smoothed it out and made it shine better than my best powdered head I had made.

Yeah I own quite a few members spinners & jigs that are coated in devcon.

The good thing about rotating spinners & jigs is that you can get away with a smaller wheel & smaller motor.

Maybe look into a piece of EVA foam to sink the hook into & mount the foam directly to the motor shaft & wha-la, drying wheel

Ive seen these sold on Ebay, but havnt seen em lately.
