tigerfire
I was taking a look at Hag's Tornados and came across an interesting color, Purple Hase. Has anyone tried this one yet? I'd like to hear the results.

I didn't think that color was green pumpkin. I was just commenting on me having a bait color name close. Hard to tell from the photo but looks like a watermelon with some flake. Might wabt to try green pumpkin some time though Mike. It is a HOT color in your hand and on the lake! Jim

It is a HOT color in your hand and on the lake! Jim I agree 100% Jim. Green pumpkin's #1 around here, but so far watermelon is king in Texas. Hag's first inital order did not even include green pumpkin but of course you know I told him that green pumpkin is a have to. It excels well for him, but watermelon with different color flakes and different laminates are what I make the most for him. It really made me feel good to see this post, the color was kind of a joint effort between me & Hag on the development point. We first did the color without flake, after we sent 3000 to him, he decided he would like it better with the flake added. The color's kind of a knock off of another company. We just put a different twist on the idea. It was really surprising to see some of my work pop up like this, needless to say, Tigerfire made my day! GB GONE
Maybe I'll try the watermelon laminated again as I tried both but liked the green pumpkin better with the purple. Plum looks awesome on the other side as well. Those baits do look great Mike!!! Top notch work!!! One day I'll put my hands on a few... If you don't mind me asking, are those hand injected? They look great. We've just spent 2 days with a couple from Canada. The fellow bought a machine like mine and has really been having a hard time running it. He was especially having a hard time with the laminating mode. But after 2 days, he left with a big smile today. I think his confidence is up now. I had him running the machine today and he did a very good job laminating. They're heading to Myrtle Beach in the morning, I think for about a week and then heading back to Ottowa. It's so interesting the people you hook up with in this business. Keep up the good work and keep posting the pictures. It's hard for me to do because it's someone else's product.
GB GONE
Mike: Those folks are lucky to have such a great and knowledgable teacher!!!! On the baits, they are all completely hand poured. Rather than hijack the thread completely, check out this link to all the new colors I am doing. Everything done by hand pour so far. http://www.ghostbaits.com/newcolors.htm Been a blast! Even did a Sexy Chart craw color tht recently sold on ebay for $11.80 per 8 pack... WOW!!! I have gotten more sugesstions from customers recently so back to the shop to work on some new things.... tigerfire
Hey Jim, I took a look at the 30+ new colors. Great job. It's nice seeing the creativity. Hey Mike, You guys are doing a great job for Hag. You're right about watermelon being king in Texas. I was hoping to get a recipe, but it's sounding more and more like that's going to be like asking for a first born! You guys are doing a great job, I just wish I had more time to experiment with colors. Keep up the great work, you guys inspire all of us just starting out. Massacre Bait Co.
I have poured a PurpleHaZe for the past couple of years. It did real well on eBay... But the reason was it catches fish. If anyone is intrested in my color just ask. I have never posted a pic. so not sure if I can but it does work. Vance MBC
