CL Rods
I know this isn't how any of you wonderful rod builders would do this and don't kringe, cover your childrens eyes... Now the hook hangers creation started as making one for wrapping, but I quickly found how I could achieve a similar practical application for myself and friends. If you have a cork or eva foam front grip, I can give you a 2 minute fix to add a hook/drop weight keeper. Now is it as fancy as wrapping one, no, does it work for me, yes. But you have to have front handles that allow for it. I don't have the money to invest in a lot of high end rods and many of mine are getting pretty darn old. So necessity was the mother of invention. Oh and BTW you can use the same hanger for wrapping method as well. And well I gues the cats out of the bag now... I make them from SS leader wire and bond them in with Parfix 200 (a medium fast cure speed Cyanoacrylate Adhesive) and well, it is quick and effective.
