siebler_custom_baits
I GOT IT!!!! i mixed the regualr colored powder paint w/glow in the dark and got the effect i was looking for. When i mixed the black and glow the powder looked grey but once applied it was prettymuch normal black. In the dark it doesnt hold as great of a charge ( whait and light colors hold excelent charges) however the gl;ow pattern is amazing. there are basically tons of tiny dots that are very close together and they are glowing. it really is and awsome effect because the glow overcoats effect color way too much. With the white and othe light colors it held great charge and the color looked normal. I am yet to try brown but am going to play with it again tonight. Markell
Keep us posted on the results you get from these baits. I don't do much night fishing but I would like to experiment with the glow in the dark pain.

clemmy
CJ Thanks for the info! Hopefully I can help you too...If I remember correctly glow in the dark pigments are not as subject to uv light as say flourescents...From what I recall intensity of light is more important than duration. Back when I was in Minnesota we used to use camera flash units to glow our baits for ice fishing..nowadays there are multiple companies that make these flashers (some call them tasers) expressly for the purpose of glowing ice fishing jigs. If I remember your developing your bait for your local night tourney, so you might want to pick up a couple and try...if your doing it for resale you could look into carrying them at retail as a convienience to your customers... Incidentally, I think it was you that was looking for glow skirt pads, I saw recently that someone sells the "starflash" skirts in all glow, just another option, though i read you got some off ebay..
