Can They Be Remelted?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have several hundred 4" craw rib tubes i mis purchased from barlows and I was thinking that I may be able to remelt and remold them.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible or should i just bin them?

Thanks in advance

Brendan

yes just have good ventilation. you can also add new plastic to them when remelting. try it don`t cost anything. may also add a little stabilizer. or sell them on ebay.

Yes most baits can be remelted. Most of your store brought baits ex: zoom, strike king, gy

tend to smoke alot when remelting. Good ventilation is a must! GY baits tend to asorb and hold water at times so make sure the r good and dry. Good Luck.

Just curious if anyone has tried melting down and reusing Strike King 3X plastics? Would they retain their durability and float ability?
