clemmy
Okay, please understand I DO NOT want this to be a who's better than who thread. I have and use at least a couple of colors from all suppliers. That said, I recieved a gift certificate for Del's. I'm okay on molds until I decide to go custom, or I would have done the BOGO offer. I could always use some more flake or hi-lite, so that is my back-up plan. My question is, does anyone have any of Del's colorants they would reccomend as "special" or "must-haves"? It's hard as he doesn't offer a color chart. In doing some site searches on a couple of forums, I've seen his Rootbeer and Candy Apple Red mentioned highly, but for whatever reason aren't offered anymore. I realize black is likely black, etc. But I'm talking like MF watermelon Brown. I love that color and it's pretty unique to MF. Other colors I like other suppliers for, and I'm sure all have their own opinions. So any colorant reccomendations or should I just fill out a nice glitter/powder order? Thanks! bryanmc
My question is, does anyone have any of Del's colorants they would reccomend as "special" or "must-haves"? I really like Del's light watermelon. I find it much easier to darken a light color to the shade I want than to lighten a darker one. txsrig
I agree with daveh and bryanmc, the light watermelon and motor oil are great colors from del. Also, I like the green pumpkin that he offers as well. Good Luck.

Craig I like his Amber. It is not as brown as others' I have tried. I use his yellow for a more translucent bait. He also make a very nice Green Pumpkin which has a bit more brown or orange similar to the old LC green pumpkin. He also makes a nice Motor Oil. I also use his red for tips. I don't agree with what you said, "black is black". The reason being in strength. 16 drops of LC's black is about the same as M-F's 45 drops of black.I'm not sure how Del's black compares. I think what he meant was that while there may be a strength difference, there isn't really much "color" difference in the different blacks. With other "blended" colors like watermelon, green pumpkin, amber etc, there are actual color differences as you pointed out.

clemmy
No problem, But yes, that is exactly what I meant. I'll have to try some of these, particularly the gp. I haven't found a replacement I like since LC had to change....It's one of those colors that vary depending on the person..some want browner, some want creamier, etc. Thanks, and feel free to keep it coming!
