WVEric
First of all, Thanks for all the info that you guys post on this website. I have been custom painting crankbaits and making jigs and spinnerbaits for about 5 months now and this website is awesome. My question is has anyone ever tried to paint there jigs with a airbrush. I was wondering if I could use the Createx paint like I use on my crankbaits and just spray some jig heads also. I have been using powder paint (no fluid bed) for my jigs now and it just seems like it may be quicker airbrushing them. My only concern is if the Createx would be a tough as powder paint. I always epoxy by jigs after being painted anyways though. Just a question. Thanks
cadman
Here is my take on this. If you want to create beautiful jigs like they paint crankbaits than createx plus an epoxy clearcoat is the choice. If you want to make jigs that will last and be more durable, then you can't beat powder paint and if you want it more durable clearcoat the powder paint. WVEric
How do you like new lustre and is it easy to apply. Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. Nu Lustre is been working real well for me and it's easy to apply. I mix the same amount of each product in a mixing cup then mix. Then just brush it on and place on a turner. If you would rather PM me that is fine also...............Thanks Edited February 11, 2010 by cadman
