JSC
Has anybody tried to put mylar tape in plastic. I am looking for a hi-temp mylar tape or a high temp clear tape to cover the mylar. I have used regular mylar skirt material ... single strips about 2 to 3 inches (about 1/8th wide) .. pour in a layer then lay the strip in and pour over ... it gets to be quite a chore.. but I have in years past done many thousands ... tried it again a few months back and I quit due to it being so tedious and had orders for it ... gone to metal flake (back in the old days there was not a good metal flake for doing this). High temp did not bother what I was using. Hope that helps JSC
wildtail97
I have done that in many prototypes, but not very successful. It only works for me if you lay the mylar in a 2 sided mold, then inject your plastic in the same direction as the mylar. I dont have any pics of these. 2¢

The work I have done with Mylar has been with a 1 pc. Mold. JSC
