Is anybody out there shooting swirls? Particulalry stcks? I've poured swirls before, but don;t see where anybody has hand-injeted them. I've poured swirls before, but don;t see where anybody has hand-injeted them. its tricky but it can b dones, you have to put and small slow spiral in the tip of the injector. slow meaning about 1-2 turns per inch multi caviti molds don't work that well as it mixes too much running down the rin then going into the cavity, single cavity molds or hand molds work best. obviously you will need a 2 color injector. plastic needs to be a tad colder as well. now you can accomplish the same results(with out having a tip made) by taking a small piece of sheet metal and twisting it, when sticking it in the front of the cavity then shooting the plastic into the cavity with a 2 color injector. the difference in the twist you put in the sheet metal will give you a different swirl effect.
