Fishoey
Hello All- I recently purchased the Alumilite Starter kit and I am anxious to start my lure projects! I have carved a balsa blank and am hoping to cast it into a two piece worm mold. I understand RTV and have used it in the past, however I was wondering if it is possible to use the Alumilite resin to cast a two piece worm mold instead. Here are my questions (concerns): -Can the resin take the extreme heat of the hot worm liquid? -Will the balsa blank become fused to the resin when making the mold? If not then... -Do I need to coat the clay and balsa with the same chemical used to keep RTV from sticking together in two piece molds? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!! mikolay87
I believe the resin will not work with hot plastic I think it only withstands up to 190 degrees
