longhorn
I've spent hours making a tutorial for a one-piece POP mold for beginners. There is always a post asking for instructions. I have a bunch of photographs in it. I know I have to use the IMG code and I was all set to post it but it doesn't show any ot the photos and gives a message that I've submitted too many photos. Does anyone know the rules? Seems like tutorials should allow a lot of photos. Thanks Edited March 1, 2010 by longhorn

irishbass
Never mind...impatient as I am I just did it in part I and II and kept most of the pics. Thanks for the tutorial, Longhorn. I've made quite a few POP molds (one and two-sided) this winter using Senkosams tutorial with pretty good success. It does look like your one-sided technique would provide better bait depth than the push-down method I've been using. When using a full-round master, doesn"t the POP flow down and around it, though... thus making removal of the master and subsequent copies difficult? Or do you shave down the edges to open up the cavity? Thanks again for taking the time to make and post your tutorial (and a belated thanks to senkosam as well!). P.S. I've been using Elmers wood glue for sealing as described in previous posts. Seals with a single application.
bluegrasslover
Never mind...impatient as I am I just did it in part I and II and kept most of the pics. Good stuff, Longhorn. Let me add a "don't" here that I recently discovered. I tried to get all fancy and use a water based poly to seal my POP mold. It looked great and I was really excited about it but it doesn't really adhere very well and came off on the baits.
FuzzyGrub
Never mind...impatient as I am I just did it in part I and II and kept most of the pics. Longhorn. As newbie to plastics, I look forward to reading. Thanks. I have done a few RTV/water and resin molds, and the next step is POP. t-billy
Outstanding job Longhorn. Thank you. I learned alot from searching your old threads on the subject when I first joined. This will be a big help to a lot of people. Give the elmers wood glue a try. I get a nice glossy finish and a perfect seal 1st time every time with it. Seems to be working well for some others here also.-------------------------------------------------------------------Best regards,Tim.
