BIGEYEZ
Has anyone experienced glitter discoloration? My green glitter turns blue. I have a pot with a mixer and use a microwave for small pours. It happens in both the pot and microwave. Green is the only color I am having problems with. I did not mention the vendor's name on purpose, but I did buy the glitter online.

I will try lowering the temperature of my pot. Can't seem to control the heat very well when heating plastisol in the microwave so I will no longer microwave colors requiring green glitter. I've only tried using it once so maybe it was too hot. Not sure.
nova
I have a copper that I used in a white grub that discolored the white. I've only tried using it once so maybe it was too hot. Not sure. Copper is very heat sensitive. Experiment with it a little. Try clear plastic, copper glitter and a touch of pearl; you might like how it turns out. You can do the same with green glitter or even red. Also, tinker with highlights with or without the pearl. There are only two things that will hold you back. The size of your wallet and your ability to imagine and experiment. www.novalures.com Edited March 16, 2010 by nova
bear21211
On the green glitter turning blue. The only time I have seen it do that is in JuneBug Colorant. The Emerald Green Glitter looks blue in Junebug. The Kelly Green works much better in Junebug with no Turning blue.
