FuzzyGrub
what are some advantages and disadvantages over a rtv mold? From a newbie perspective, extracting baits from RTV is much easier, and can produce more rounded bodies. The resin mold provide more surface detail, but harder to extract. If you meant for mold making, I can't comment about using the more liquid RTV for mold making, I have only made some of the water cure RTV using 100% white silicone from the hardware store (see long thread on subject). The water cure rtv seems to work fine with a harder model. Soft models worked better in resin for me. Expect to use a dremel for touch-up on resin.
