LGF
Guys Been messing around with soft swimbaits for some time now. Trying to keep the baits as realistic as possible with as much structural detail as possible, this inherently means that I cannot dip the painted lures (airbrushed) as it tends to submerge and remove most of the structural detail. I've tried painting with Humbrol paints, but the solvents in these paints (laquer thinners) leaves the lure's paint detail tacky and it never dries. I tried candle dye but this bleeds into the rest of the lure leaving the thinnest detail to cover a third of the lure after just a week. Is there any other paint I can use and if so what are the components that I need to look out for? LGF
longhorn
I've got no experience painting but Lurecraft has paint made for soft plastics...do a search because this subject comes up often.
