finlander
I just opened my first pkg from Lurecraft tonight. The pearl colors I received were..oops.. powder instead of liquids. Any input would be appreciated in using these. Going to use Calhoun plastic soon with these colors. Thanks in advance.
charkins
The pearl powders are added to the plastisol before you heat it. I use about an 1/8th of a teaspoonful to 2 oz of plastisol. You can use more or less depending on the results you want. You can add color also, but it makes a real good shad type appearance without any color added. Mercury
The Pearl white from LC i add it at 1/4 tsp per cup. It is a prefrence thing as always. If you get MF pearl white it isnt even close to the same as LC. Its TONS brighter. A Half pound will last a Long Long time. Jeff
alsworms
Wouldn't it be cool if ALL colors were powder? We would need to figure out a way to dump the pearl effect on most colors, but maybe it could be done? Liquid colors can be such a pain; they have to be well-mixed, some are not consistent, some burn, mixtures have to be precise, they're messy, etc. etc. etc. Think of the problems solved if they were all powder.

alsworms
Shoot Merc...... Didn't know that was you. I have caller ID and don't answer the phone half the time. I could have sworn that thing showed a call from "Iowa". Maybe it was Illinois. My bad. Chris
