Coosa Redeye
I got the new Bear's Baits Hollow Swimbait mold over the weekend. This mold is AWESOME. It makes a TRUE hollow belly swimbait, no hook slot. The following pics are pre-dipped baits I made in a hurry to show off the mold.

thelatrobe33
I was looking at those last night. To get the top one that looks like a core shot are you just dipping the insert in red prior to inserting and injecting?

GB GONE
Just a note on painting the insert with soft plastics paint... Eventually your insert will get pretty stained and may transfer color when you do not paint it. The paint will eventually come off uneven as well. Just a tip from someone who went that route for a short time and had to buy a new insert.... Jim

MuskyGary
Just dip the insert, put it in the mold and inject your bait... Nothing to it!!! Jim Are you covering the eyes with anything to help hold them on? Maybe dipping the head in clear plastic? Those are beautiful baits! bobothewizard
I understand that this is a old post but I have a few questions. That picture of those swimbaits, is any of that paint painted on after the bait has come out of the mold? If so, did you re-dip the lure after painting it? Ed Brabant
I'd love to see a vid of how these guys swim! They swim great. I used them with the standard weighted head and the Gamagatsu one with the small willow leaf blade. Awsome baits.
