jigman
Can anyone tell me the easiest way to fix a loose reel seat? The blank is rotating every time I make a cast. Thanks
Mattman
Spinning or casting? Some casting seats, exposed blank models, fit right against the blank so you need to be careful. Although I don't think I've seen one of those come loose. Usually its spin seats and the manufacturer used cardboard or masking tape arbors. Get a good size syringe from a vet supply place. Drill a couple holes in the reel seat where the reel foot will sit. You may even have to do another out on the threaded portion as well. Mix up some 30 minute epoxy and put it in the syringe. Put as much expoy inside the seat as you can. Let the rod sit, with the holes up, until the epoxy sets.

Tony Maxwell
Speaking from experience!!! Line up the reel seat with the guides prior to letting the epoxy set up. Tony
