Mold Making Question

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to make my own soft plastics and i have a few molds, aluminum and plastic, and I made a mold out of wood then coated it with polyurethane...turned out nice but the polyurethane isn't gonna last long under that heat...so i'm gonna try to reproduce the worm i made in that mold with alumilite. The top heat resistance i found on their site is 250 degrees. I know the plastisol is heated to 350 but ive heard of alumilite being used for forms.

Will it Work?

if you know of any other materials it'll be helpful. thnks

Which alumilite product are you using. The temp range on the ones I use is -67 to 392.
