Smallie
You couldn't have said it better Coosa! Different strokes for different folks. But I have found that most problems with plastic is not plastic its the USER!! Unless its calhoun and we all now thats chit is junk. But no since trying to hash it out with cheerleaders from other suppliers. To come out and post stuff is junk, you look like a jack ass! I wonder where Mr. Greedy is, he must be sitting back, collecting because none of his golden jerrys kids are being attacked. Like i said you speak your mind over here you get booted like my long last brother Mr. Dak. We love you Brother you welcome with me and others anyday!! In Memory of Dak!! Careful Reef - Bears Baits sells Calhoun's and your criticism is going to get Mr. Bilky's panties in a knot.
gone2long
Not at all just can't figure out how someone can make such a negative statement about a companies product without giving them an opportunity to correct/resolve the issue. Seems kinda foolish to try and hurt someone's business in such a small arena such as the hand pouring market, which would be the result by the comments made on this thread. squigster
Did not read the whole post here becasue I didnt want to read all the bs thats being said and im not sure if you are referring to the BBCP or Chemionics but I have been using the Chemionics and it is awesome. It is supersoft super easy to pour and seems to stay pourable longer. Handpourers willl love this stuff. I couldnt pour anything good with Calhouns but that changed with this for sure. The guys I normally pour for want all of their baits from now on with this stuff. It is dry and not oily and superflexible yet durable. It does have a different odor than Clahouns but it is a different plastic. I still use Clahouns in the med and hard but may switch to all Chemionics on the next order. Just need to turn jug upside down a few times and it is mixed. no scraping no mixer period. Just want to put that out there for guys looking for something new / better. Wanted to add it had very little smoke and floats great even with glitter in it.

GB GONE
Thanks Dave. Like to hear more though. Even with the best quality control, sometmes a bad batch makes it out the door. Touch base with Bear and he WILL make things right. Good to see new products coming out in search of the "perfect" plastic. Hand crafters need to stick together even more now as the economy and sales get tighter. The larger companies are challenging bait designs, styles and action to limit sales of other large companies and the smaller guys as well. All of this could risk the companies out there we rely on for our supplies and molds. We need them all in the market place! Not just one or the other! TU is the forum for us to keep pushing the envelope and attempting to stay ahead of the larger places. New products help that and I would like to hear more on the properties of this plastic as it relates to cooking (both in mic and pot or other methods), curing, final product flexibility and other positives and drawbacks. Facts of how this product reacts when you cook it and the details will help all draw a conclusion but cooking it yourself is really the only way to know the product will be good for you and your applications.
