luke1wcu
Well, I just checked into my hotel room at Mariner's Landing in Huddleston, Virginia. Tommorrow will be my first day on the water at Smith Mountain Lake as an Elite Series Marshall. Needless to say, I'm excited. I participated last year and was delighted to find out I could do it again, so here I am. I will update you all with my experiences here throughout the tournament. What a marshall does is ride along with the pros during the tournament and ensure that all rules are being followed. Oh yeah, and learn from and talking fishin with the best in the business. Lure--Prof
Another member, screen name "Boone" is also there participating as a marshall. Jeff A. is a good enough fisherman that he could teach some of the pros a trick or two! Dean
RayburnGuy
Hey Dean, Congrats on your good luck. Have fun and let us hear all about it. Ben
Lure--Prof
Ben, my good luck is in having a fishing buddy like Jeff (Boone), who is there as a marshall. He said he'd tell me all about it when he returns, so I'll encourage him to pass along his experience. I think Jeff told me that he was also practicing with one of his Elite friends. I know he's having one heck of a good time, and BASS could not have a better man for a marshall. He is also a very innovative lure builder!
