eyemafish
Hi Gang, Just wondering if anyone is willing to share some of their favorite patterns for river walleyes. I am looking for more options and projects. I am sticking to some pretty basic patterns for now but am trying to get better at air brushing and need some patterns to try and duplicate. I live near a river that stays stained and have found the old wiggle wart colors work. The bumble bee, crome/chartruse, pinks and whites all seem to work well. I think the key is that they can see it!

I fish the st clair river and know the detroit river fairly well. We almost always jig, and usually charteuse, brown, or black is best w. a wyandotte worm. If you give me some more info, I can post some pics
joliepa
an old thread, yes but I like the topic. for me, the Time to walleye fish is at night. and that constrains the color a little. I use a lot of chrome minnow baits either with blue or black backs. another hot color seems to yellow ish. A clown color; yellow with a red head seems to work really nice as well. I'm just about ready to give a first attempt at foiling a a KO plastic crank. Hopefully it will be close to my goto color/patterns. --- if you've done some lures since 2010 and had successses it would be great to see some winning walleye baits.
