Brand Spankin New!

Recommended Posts

Hello folks,

I am brand new to this website and to pouring baits. I am 100% interested in getting into this line of work and have been for years. My only problem?? I have no idea where to begin and what equipment I need. I have been searching this websites forums and links, and while I have seen a lot of the equipment/products that are out there, I can not decipher what is right for me. Long story short, what do I need in order to make my own soft plastics from molds to plastisol and everything in between?

Should I hand pour or use injection molds? What are the benefits?

Additionally, are there any instructional books/dvds out there that take you through the process step-by-step?

Thank you guys for any information you could give me as I feel I have finally found a place that may be able to get me started in the right direction.

I believe Lurecraft.com has a video...as to injection versus hand pour....they both have advantages...3 color laminates are easy in a hand pour....harder (but not impossible) with injection. Injection has the advantage of pretty much perfect bait first time, every time...then it's just fine tuning your color recipes.
