CatchemCaro
I have never seen a picture or drawing of how the wire is connected to the hook where it's hidden under the lead head of the spinner bait. Is there any good videos on walking a person through the steps it takes to make a spinner bait from scratch? I make wake bait and would like to add a line of spinnerbaits to my product line. Any information would be great. Thanks Rich
diemai
@ CatchemCaro Check out My link , on the entry page there(it's a Canadian component supplier) look for the "Free Downloads" section , download the PDF file "The Canadian Guide to Luremaking" , on page 40 there is a chapter about spinnerbaits . There also is a site My link, maybe , that there is some info there as well , ....but I can't really tell . You may also try to obtain the book "LUREMAKING (the Art and Science of Spinnerbaits , Buzzbaits , Jigs and Other Leadheads)" by A. D. Livingston , issued by Ragged Mountain Press , Camden , Maine , 1994 , ISBN 0-070-038152-6 . Have you tried the search function on "YouTube" as well , .........type in term "spinnerbait" , maybe you'd be lucky to find something ? good luck , diemai Edited May 1, 2010 by diemai

Thanks Rich Simple answer is that it's just a hook bent in the end of the wire which in turn is stuck through the eye of the fishhook, you can use a pair of pliers to close the wire around the eye of the fishhook somewhat to hold it together until the lead head is poured. Here's a link to Do-It's premade wire forms http://www.do-itmolds.com/prod_spinner_jig_forms.aspx?c=130 Edited May 2, 2010 by pirkfan
