BBK
Heres #1! I took my gloves off to open a package and stirred the pot without even thinking. Drop of lead flew out of the pot and landed right on my finger. I flung my hand but the lead stuck to me, I pulled it off with hemostats and my skin came with it. I don't know if you can see it or not, but there is a hole in my finger down to the 'meat'. I quickly unplugged the pot and ran inside to put burn ointment on it. It still hurts. Peterjay
Thanks for the reminder. I've caught myself absentmindedly working without gloves a few times lately. Gotta put up a sign over the workbench. Skin is no match for molten metal, that's for sure.
Fatman
Had a few of those, after a pour I have a drip cup that goes underneath and helps stop that. Just keep ointment on it at all times and keep it clean they heal up quick. Fatman
