bass100
I use a squirrel cage fan. You can get a fan really cheap from your local AC and heating contractor. I get mine used for around $25 each. These are the same fans that are used in furnaces to push hot air to the whole house. Just make a box to put the fan in. You have one opening in the box that blows all the smoke out that you have sucked up and you can put in as many leads to the box that you want. I have several pots running and I have a lead going above each pot. I have no smoke in my shop whatsoever. I also have a microwave station with 2 leads going to it. These leads can be positioned in less than 5 seconds to wherever I want them. And all of this runs off of one squirrel cage fan. I can not have any smoke in my shop because I have emphysema and with this setup I have none.

Yesterday I installed a commercial grade 400cfm vent hood tested it and no smell or smoke lingering sucks it right out..
Pitbull Baits
I just use a 20 inch box fan in the window behind my pots works just as well. I could make a hood since I am a sheetmetal guy lol. The blower wheels you got for $25 I get for free otherwise we just junk them.
