clemmy
Hello! Just wondered if any of you muskybait makers have tried these forms? What I'm wondering is what's the best way to twist the loop for the swivel? How hard is it with this thick wire?
Glaucus
I use 0.062" SS wire and I bend it with a homemade bender, there's a picture of it at the homebrew tools forum. Someone posted that Boggs Tacklemaker sells an "E" head & kingpin for wire upto 0.062", but it's not listed on there web site.
Littlebear
Clemmy, I know that some builders use the .061-3 wire for muskie baits.. I personaly like the ss.051 wire just because it opens up a larger window for other hardware to be used.. clevis, beads, bodies, ect. I do use .061 wire on a few special baits but its a very few..most benders that are set up for .051 wire will handle the .061 wire I use a modifided verison on the Boggs bender and the Hagen bender good luck Littlebear
