psilvers
I have started using some of the brighter powder paints (blaze orange, flame red). I was wondering whether you guys recommend putting on a white base coat before the color? I do notice that to get good color - it does take at least 2-3 coats of the color (e.g. blaze orange) when not using a white base coat. I was wondering whetehr a white base coat might help. Thanks, Pete
MuskyGary
Yes, If you want brighter colors always use a white basecoat, even when you use chartruse the white helps make it brighter.
cadman
Definitely use white especially on your fluorescent colors like MuskyGary mentioned including hot pink, lime green and even some of your candy colors.
psilvers
Thanks. I thought that would help. I was just painting a few, but after I started I realized that I probably should have done a white base coat. I remembered that for fome of the fluorescent colors, but it took paining a few of the orange to make me realize that a base coat might help there, too. Thanks for the help.
