If the flexible lip is not glued on then I don't see why you can't slip it off and paint the head and slip it back on again. It may be a tighter fit after painting but it shouldn't be a problem. That was my thought exactly !! Besides the soft lip should stretch a little bit or even shave a tiny bit from the collar hole and they try. Thanks again for reply !!
