Griver
Hey Everyone I'm new to the plastic pouring scene ( just read the pouring for newbies, very good tips). I just got a worm kit at a yard sale, three molds...made of resin I think. About 2 lbs of used plastic, and 4 empty bottles of colorant, which is what I think is all over everything in the box. The molds are cover with a black tar like substance, what can I use to clean them without hurting the molds. I tried Dawn dishsoap and hot water, got some off but not all. Any advice will help. Thanks GRiver
SCBoatGuy
try a good degreaser like Grease Lightning or Purple Power. You could probably even stick them in your dishwasher. It doubt it would get hot enough to mess up the molds.

GB GONE
You might try pouring hot plastic in them. Whatever is on there may bond to the plastic and you will have it gone with a pour or 2. Jim
GB GONE
PS You can also use an old toothbrush (or the wife's...LOL) with a little WD-40..... Jim
