MuskyGary
I see Jacobs has a new injector. I have a old one and have trouble with the plastic cooling and hardening in the nozzle tip before I can inject it. Im wondering if the new injector has a larger opening at the nozzle? Maybe I should buy his adapter and use a bears injector. I really like his crappie molds. He has some of the best panfish molds on the market. Currently I heat the injector nozzle over a heat gun, heat the molds on a hot plate. When the plastic is ready I put the injector nozzle in the mold, pour the plastic in the top, add the plunger on and quickly inject. Very easy to get burned with hot plastic, wear gloves but I think you know what I mean.
Frank
Yes his new one is a good tool. The hole is bigger and the design is more like other models currently available from others. You were doing the same thing I was with his old one. The new one gets a big thumbs up. He also used a locking tip that you will enjoy. MuskyGary
Thanks Frank, Ive been using a Bears injector, just trying to hold it level and tight over the Jacobs small hole in the mold. The trouble with this is that when you get to the end of the injection material the head of the bears injector will pop off! What a mess!! I will definitly buy one of jacobs new ones. Frank
His new one will look alot like bears but will have the locking tip. tapered cone and a hole small enough for his molds. I you have any of his real early molds you will have to open up the sprue. I know that you will like it. Frank
