angolajones
Anyone know how to make your own rebarbs? I can't find the shrink tubing small enough for the shank to stay snug. Jonesy

Richard Prager
Could you post a picture of what it is. whats it used for fishing or pouring? I think he's talking about a trailer keeper for a jig. Could be wrong, though.

Extra Small heat shrink tubing can be found at good electronic stores that sell soldering equipment and such. Not sure if Fry's or Radio Shack will have it but it would be worth a try. GB GONE
My guess is this relates to flipping and using the straight shank hooks. You have to have something to prevent (rebarb) your bait from sliding down the hook. The shrink wrap will help hold the bait in place due to the way the bait is rigged. "Prefer using straight shank hooks but your sick and tired of your bait sliding off with even the slights of ticks. Then the Reaction Innovations BMF Barb is made for you. This little piece of plactic may seem simple in design but it does an amazing job of keeping your bait pinned to your favorite hook. Combine the BMF, Bad Mother Flipping, Barb with the Reaction Innovations BMF Hook or the ultimate flipping combo." I am trying out different tubing now. I will let you know if I find anything. Please report back if you do! Jim
angolajones
Thanks guys. That is what I am trying to get. I live in a small town and Radio Shack doesn't have tubing small enough. If anyone figures out what size to use, please let me know. I made some but with the wrong size tubing, it came loose and slid around the shank of the hook.
