Looking For Spider Grub "skirt" Mold?

Recommended Posts

Trying to wrap my mind around molding a spider grub. The Yamamoto skirts (just skirts) I have actually have two skirts opposed. The ones with grub tails have just one, but I can not visualize how to make either one without going to a 3 piece mold.

The skirts are seperate. you can add as many of them as you want. Frank

i think i got the 3" Y twin tail grub injection mold from basstackle, but the main body of the grub gets skinny towards the tip of the grub which will make it dumb to glue or weld the skirt and grub together. ill probably have to cut the bait down a little to make the two diameters equal.

i think delmart has the Y twin tail grub i want but its in a 5". i dont need anything that big where i live, the bass in the lake i fish are pretty small on average. i dont know... ill probably keep it just to have it, i dont think basstackle does trades or anything that i know of. I am also thinking of using a similar grub to the twin tail, but instead of that, doing a craw type trailer for the spider grub..

this is the mold i have.... http://www.basstackle.com/Twin_Tail_Grub_Mold_p/twintailinjectiongrubmold.htm

and this is what im looking for but in a smaller size.... http://www.bassfishingandcatching.com/images/2092-3.jpg

there is a slight difference in the grubs..... the yamamoto one also has a slightly thicker twin tail on it to....

ya that straight body is basically what im looking for....

do you think if i called them and sent the one i have back and paid the difference, they would send that one out to me..??

i just ordered that skirt mold without the center hole, so it should be fine with that 5" grub.

You wont know unless you ask. It is worth a shot. Or you can just put it up in the clasifieds. Frank
