crusherplate
what weight 1/4 or 3/8 would make a #4 colorado and #4 willow work in tandem. and what length cut on the top R bend would you use to make it work. ? thanks !
smalljaw
You won't get a good running bait with those weights with a #4 colorado and a #4 willow, those blades would create too much torque for those head sizes to balance out properly and what you would get is a bait that rolls over on any retrieve other than super slow. In order to get those 2 blades working in tandem so that the bait runs well you'll need to put the willow blade on as the secondary blade attached to the clevis and the colorado blade on as the primary attached to the swivel, to do it reverse wouldn't work because the coloarado would move too much water causing the willow to spin erraticly and even stop unless the spacing of the blades were far apart as opposed to a regular spinnerbait. If those are the 2 blades you want to use you'll have to have at least a 1/2oz head with a blade arm length of around 4" to 4.5", the extra length would be required to even out the amount of torque created by the blades while the heavier head would balance it out allowing it to run properly.
