patrick reif
I've picked out my 5" hollow body swimbait mold to be purchased next and it has a 5/16" recessed eye relief. If my math is right, that's 8mm. The eye company I prefer has 7mm or 10mm, but no 8's. Would you choose the larger size, or go with the smaller? I lean towards the larger because I think that bass sometimes use it as a "hit spot" Edited June 20, 2010 by patrick reif
GB GONE
There have been studies proving just that Patrick. A larger eye is something fish respond to in hunting their prey. You might ask for samples in both sizes as an eye that is just to big for the socket will probably slip around under the dipped plastic and may come out of the socket. Might just ask your mold maker to enlarge the eye socket slightly to 10mm.. Jim
