mark poulson
to add to plastics? I mean instant coffee. I can spell, but I just can't type or read. I used the search feature, but didn't find the answer I was looking for. I bought several jars over the years, per my wife's family needs, and now have them sitting in the pantry. I'd love to be able to flour them in a coffee grinder, and add them to some of my darker pours. I was wondering if it can be done, and if it would make the plastic hard or weak? Basseducer
Mark, When I tried using instant it just clumped up and would not desolve. I read somewhere on here that someone got faverble results by boiling it in softener, but haven't tried it. I do put real ground coffe directly into my plastic and get great coffe baits. The only downside is that you can only make dark brown or black baits.
nova
Just take the coffee and put it in a coffee filter. Then pour softner through it catching it in a jar. You may have to do this several times to disolve enough coffee to get a good strong scent. The filter will collect any bits a pieces from the coffee. www.novalures.com
mark poulson
Thanks. I decided to order some coffee scent from Del's. I'll keep the old instant for the in-laws.
